End of Cherry Harvest
This season was challenging, mainly due to lower production in some of the warmer regions of the country and rainfall that affected varieties such as Royal Dawn, Santina, and Bing. However, the southern and cooler regions showed good production, ending the cherry season with volumes very similar to the previous year. Additionally, fruit quality improved throughout the season. Despite the difficulties faced by the early fruit, good results were achieved thanks to proper post-harvest management.
End of Stone
Fruit Harvest
The harvest of nectarines, plums, and peaches was slower and more extended compared to previous years. Fruit maturation on the trees was more uneven, requiring multiple harvest passes to carefully select the stone fruits that met the required taste and quality standards for export. The peak of the harvest was reached in week 9, with a combination of varieties that had never coincided before. The season concluded with the latest variety, Angelino, during week 10, one week later than in the previous period.
