Peach Kuchen

Ingredients:

For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 egg

 

For the Filling:

  • 4 peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. For the crust, in a large bowl, mix the flour and sugar. Add the butter and work it in until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add the egg and mix until the dough forms. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Roll out the dough and line a tart pan. Prick the bottom with a fork.
  4. For the filling, combine the peaches with the sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Pour over the crust.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the tart is golden and the filling is bubbling. Allow to cool before serving.
